No place for negativity but Emenike...
Time for him to be a bench warmer. I cannot remember the last player to be offside more than him. Zamora maybe? at least he stuck it in the net.

Any player can run around like him. His head is too big for his body.

Start with Sakho next game

I agree, Sakho's the daddy

Re: No place for negativity but Emenike...
I think he was unfortunate not to score - timed his run well (for a change), but the keeper played the percentages and was lucky to get his limbs in just the right place.

There might just be enough in him to work on and make into decent striker.

Hopefully we won't need to rely on him very often for the remainder of the season

Re: No place for negativity but Emenike...
The only run he timed well. offside atleast 5 times before his on target shot.

like i said, only Zamora had less awareness. But at least he scored...

Bit harsh, he put in a shift the other night and did ok today, not 1st choice, we've had a lot worse over the years.

Worked hard and pressures defenders well but struggles up top on his own. Would work well with Sakho I reckon?

I was saying such before the game. Sahko to start now he is fit with Carroll to come of the bench.

Re: Team for Everton?
Emenike is my only concern. I know he is more mobile than Carroll, but offers little else?

The first 60/70 mins of the last two games v Sunderland and Spurs that Emenike has started we have had many corners and freekicks with good deliveries completely wasted.

Carroll must have been uncomfortably on the bench watching it. Then when he did come on v Sunderland Byram headed it back for Carroll and he nearly broke the bar.

Re: No place for negativity but Emenike...
Good head down by Carroll today btw for Sakho to flick to Payet for the winner.

Re: No place for negativity but Emenike...
I genuinely think we've missed Sakho as much as we missed Payet. He's miles more dangerous and likely to score than anyone else we've got. Nothing wrong with Emenike, he's a better option off the bench than Jelavic and that's all he was brought in to do.

Re: No place for negativity but Emenike...
Can't rush Sakho or Carroll back too quickly and Valencia is still not even ready for the bench.
Slav knows what he is doing, building up match fitness, Sakho may start next game.
